My name is Jud and I am the owner of Next Page Web Design. I am also a musician in a band out of Minneapolis called JNH Band (www.jnhband.net). I got my start in web design about ten years ago because hiring a developer to create my website was just not in the budget for a starving-artist like myself. So, I dug my heels in and learned how to create my own website. I fell in love with Web Design and headed off to school to become a Web Site Architect. It was there that I discovered the truth; in order to have an effective marketing campaign, you must first have a home base – your website.
Typically, the standard marketing tool for any band is Myspace, Facebook, or Reverbnation and it simply isn’t enough anymore.
We’re trying something new at Next Page Web Design. We are offering free custom websites to 12 bands. Yes, there is a catch. First, you must be one of the first 12 bands to sign up for the program that meet our criteria. Secondly, you must purchase your URL Hosting with Next Page Web Design. The cost is $15.00 per month which is cheaper than commonly used hosting companies like Reverbnation or Bandzoogle.
WHY WOULD WE OFFER FREE WEB DESIGN?
You will be helping Next Page Web Design create a unique, custom-made website. After your website is up and running, we will create a template, modeled after your site, that we can sell to other bands across the country. We will essentially be creating a WordPress template from your site. Our customers will then be able to purchase the template and customize it themselves from Next Page. This is a good deal for both of us.
WHAT IS THE COST?
The Website is free. We will work with you one-on-one to create what you want. As previously mentioned, you must purchase 1 full year of hosting with us. If you have a URL (www.yourname.com) then we will need to transfer it to us. Also, you will occasionally be asked to provide us with feedback on service and the overall website functionality.
WHY DO I HAVE TO QUALIFY?
Let’s face it, there is a new band created every minute. Likewise, some disappear just as fast. We need to make sure we are not wasting our time on a dying band.
WHEN WILL MY SITE BE LIVE?
We are taking on 12 bands. That is one site a month in 2012. Your site could be live as early as Jan 31 and as late as Dec 31, 2012. Be patient and realize that you will be getting one hell of a website for free.
